On an overcast afternoon day game and the 19th game of the regular season. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit his first home run of the 2025 season. The newly $500 million dollar man, ($37 million a year) finally got his bat going and received a standing ovation in front of the 25,328 Blue Jays fans in attendance. Blue Jays starting pitcher, Chris Bassitt struck out 10 batters and his fellow team mate pitchers after him, Little, Sandlan, Garcia, Hoffman. combined for a total of 19K (strikeouts) to set a franchise record.

The Blue Jays opened the scroring in the bottom of the 3rd when Guerrero Jr. singled to centre field to have Bo Bichette come home to score to make it 1-0 Blue Jays. Then in the bottom of the 6th it finally happen. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Hit is first home run of the season to make it 2-0 Jays. Finally in the bottom of the 7th Bo Bichette doubled to left to have Straw come home to score. 3-0 Toronto. Atlanta Braves tried to make a come back in the top of the 9th as Baldwin hit a home run to left field, to make it 3-1. That was not enough as the Toronto Blue Jays win it 3-1.
