Hell Kitchen tasting menu, Hoover Dam tour & Deseret Big Horned Sheep.
3655 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV, USA.
I Arrived at Toronto Pearson my usual earliness, checked in and anther funny US Customs interaction. I approach the desk.
US CUSTOMS AGENT: “Where are you headed sir??”
Lou: ” Las Vegas”.
US CUSTOMS AGENT: “Is the purpose of your visit Business or Pleasure?”
Lou: “Pleasure”
US CUSTOMS AGENT: “How much money are you bringing with you?’
Lou: (advised the dollar amount)
US CUSTOMS AGENT: (insert happy tone voice) GO WIN SOME MONEY SIR!!. GO WIN SOME MONEY!! HAVE A NICE TRIP! (hands me back my passport.)
Arrived at the Paris Hotel & Casino Resort This 4-star hotel centrally located on the strop has a French theme Replica Eiffel Tower, room include french decor and marble bathrooms, rooftop lounge/bars.
Booked Hoover Dam Tour before I left. Day 1 in Vegas did my usual settling in routine. I tried the Breakfast Buffet at the Paris Hotel and it was expensive at $45. After i checked out the Paris Hotel Pool and its basically a concrete patio in the shape of a octagon with pool chairs spread around. As i am doing a walk around wearing my Bengals T-shirt, I was stopped and confronted by big burley man with goatee wearing a Texas football shirt. “What did you do to me last week!? and my Titan my man, my Titans man, they lost.”. I was startled and realized he saw my shirt and talking about last weeks football game. The pool is nothing special its located on the 2nd floor and it said Parisian Garden but i never saw much of that. You can get a good view the Eiffel Tower while at the pool, but the pool in general is very basic set up.

Dinner is at STEAK Restaurant, which is Gordon Ramsays steakhouse. I noticed the same waitstaff from my first visit, this time sat at the Bar and tried the Hells Kitchen Tasting Menu: $145 per person which include an autograph photo of Gordon Ramsay himself.

The Next day is my Hoover Dam Tour. Picked up in the morning by Tour company Ford Expedition SUV and my tour guide was very knowledgeable he knew everything, Showed us a Joshua tree and explained what the significants was in Las Vegas nation tree as we drove on the hwy. Finally reached our destination given my ticket gave me a time to meet him back where he dropped me off at. Enjoyed the guided tour more of the same, have to pass through a metal doctor (like at the airport). After it was done I had time to spare so i technically walked over to the Colorado State line with the big clock showing the time same thing, then i walked or to the Arizona State line and then back over to the Nevada state line, Took my outdoor pictures of the damn and newly build Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge in honour of fallen US shoulder who quit playing in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals to fight the war in Afghanistan.

I met up with tour guide, drove back through Boulder City, NV and stopped at Hemenway Park and got to see the Nevada Sate Animal called Desert Bighorn Sheep, the herds come down from the mountains above and were laying on the children play ground eating grass, resting. Got as close as i could without upsetting them, didn’t want to get the horns. Took some pics jumped back into the SUV and stopped off at Lake Mead. Took a gander and some pics and then drove me back to the hotel.

My last night there i was going to check out the rooftop lounge/club called Le Chateau but i didn’t have the proper footwear so i never tired to see if i could get in. Next day checked out flew back to Toronto.
THE GOOD: The Hoover Dam tour, Gordon Ramsays STEAK Restaurant.
THE BAD: Paris Hotels Expensive breakfast buffet.
THE UGLY: None.
