Planet Hollywood of the sun and the heat wave that followed. August 2012.

3667 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV, USA.
Visited Vegas during a heat wave 110F. This was my first experience of a Las Vegas Heat wave. We stayed at Planet Hollywood and right away i noticed this is more hip and modern hotel with younger crowd vibe at this Hotel. Our room had a Miami theme to it. I walked the casino floor and noticed they have Blackjack tables with GO-GO dancers above the table (what a distraction). Hungry, so i tried EARL of Sandwich and i must say i was hooked. I notice the Miracle Mile Shops mall connected to the Hotel. I walked that mall and got myself a chair massage, back, shoulders, neck arms massage. What a great massage it was after a 4hr 45min flight. Picked up some GSP UFC fighter merchandise at the MMA shop.
I checked out the pool and it was soo hot that my bare feet were burning even when walking in the shaded concrete area. The Cosmopolitan Hotel is across the street and it blocks some of the sun at the Planet Hollywood pool. It was a heat wave and didn’t stay long at the pool. I decided to try one hand a blackjack and my friend was off behind me with his arms folding watching and and as soon as i sat down the dealer yelled at my friend to show his ID and he said NO and i basically got up the table and never played. He said the dealer thought she was law enforcement. I laughed and said NO she thinks your going to help me cheat in blackjack that’s why she asked for your ID. You might signal me codes on how much to wager and card counting.

I went back to the mall left my friend to gamble and then came back looking for him on the casino floor when some old man across the casino floor flags me down and walks up to me pointing at my shirt. “I like that shirt right there son, that’s a nice looking shirt (insert southern USA accent) I realized he has me confused for someone else and there is anther baseball team called the Blue Jays in states of Kentucky or Louisiana.
Later we were hungry we ate at YOLO’s Mexican restaurant it was nothing special.
The next night we went to Gallery Night Club, it was not as good as the first time we went.

In closing, this was the most uneventful trip to vegas. Might be time for a change next time. We took the Redeye flight back and it was brutal, Unable to sleep on a moving plane. Once we landed we breezed through customs, got home and went to straight to bed.
The GOOD: Modern and trendy hotel younger crowd.
THE BAD: The heat wave.
THE UGLY: The redeye flight back home.
