Anther hot ticket in town as the visiting 2022 NBA Champions arrived on game day at 7am in the morning after having to switch planes from NYC.
A lot of Golden State Warriors jerseys in the building. I take my seat next to a golden state warriors couple in love.
Raptors Starters: S Barnes: 10pts, R Barrett: 23pts, I Quickley: 12pts, Poeltl: 10pts, G Trent Jr: 9pts. Bench Points: K Olynyk: 16pts, G Dick: 12pts.
Warriors Starters: S Curry: 25pts, J Kuminga: 24pts, M Moody: 17pts, K Thompson: 14pts, D Green: 6pts. Bench Points: C Paul: 13pts, T Jackson: 9pts.
1st Quarter- The game was pretty evenly matched all the way through the first quarter with Curry picking up the ball from his own half calmly dribbling as Draymond Green sets a screen and Curry hits a un contested 3 pointer. Raptors return fire and then again Curry slowly takes the ball dribbles to the 3 point line and hits a step back 3 pointer, then looks at his forearm.
2nd Quarter- Back and forth 3 pointers from both teams, Grady makes a three countered by Moody. Back and for 2 pointers from Barnes then Kuminga. Poeltl makes a 2 pointer. Curry brings the ball in the raptors then decides quickly to drive to the basket and in the point pass it off to Kuminga for a slam dunk as the warriors fans explode. Just before the half ends Scottie Barnes breaks his middle finger. Half time the score is 64-61 Raptors with the lead.
3rd Quarter- Anther let down 3rd quarter by the Toronto Raptors as Golden state started to pull away making more 3 pointers then the raptors could counter wth only just 2 pointers. Pulling away with 16 point lead Curry makes anther step-back 3 pointer then looks and grabs his forearm shaking it and looking at it like its possessed while looking back at the crowd and screaming as he looks skywards as Toronto calls a time out.
4th Quarter- Warriors bench Chris Paul had 12pts, as the warriors racked up points by Curry 25pts, Kuminga had a good game with 24pts, Moody 17pts & Thompson 14pts and Green with 13 rebounds. For the Raptors RJ Barrett could not do it alone with 23 points, Quickly 12pts, Kelly Olynk 16pts coming in for the injured Barnes and Grady Dick from the bench with 12pts. Warriors had a better 3 point percentage and out rebounded the Raptors for the win. Finally buzzer Golden State Warriors 120 Toronto Raptors 105.
The Good: People came to see Stephen Curry put on a show in front of family and friends and what a performance he put on indeed.
The Bad: 3rd quarter let down by the raptors.
The Ugly: Scottie Barnes breaks his finger. The Raptors season is DONE.
